Having explored and studied different areas within the health and fitness industry I finally came upon yoga.
In 2011, I was fortunate to meet Yogi Ashokananda (indisputably an authentic master and practitioner of Yoga) and became a student of Himalayan Hatha Yoga, Prana Kriya Yoga as well as learning the various styles of meditation with the Yogi Ashokananda School.
I furthered my knowledge and understanding of these yoga practices, and in time went on to complete the Teacher Training courses in both the HHY and PKY.
Ultimately I experienced that when incorporated in my daily living or life-style “Yoga” is undoubtedly an essential ingredient to a healthy and harmonious life. I realised from these practices that all the constituent aspects from the HHY and PKY, (from the physical asana together with pranayama, mudra, bandha, and kriyas), enable a way to integrate the physical strength/flexibility of the body with the mental clarity and focus of mind using essentially the tool of the breath. Breath being the fundamental principle upon which everything else seemed to rest upon.
Thanks to Yogi and the Yogi Ashokananda School I am currently teaching and sharing the many benefits of these practices within the community at large and am always grateful to see and hear the positive effects and outcomes of this sacred and timeless science of Yoga with the people who I have come to share with.
